About the project

Rangers Rinkside is a fan page covering every New York Rangers game. Across the 2024–25 season it needed graphics that could go out minutes after the final horn, look consistent post after post, and feel like the team’s own colors.

The wordmark

A minimal serif wordmark gives the page a calm, editorial signature next to the loud game-day graphics: Rangers set upright, Rinkside in italic, with a thin red rule.

Templates

Each kind of post has its own template built on one shared grid: a strong headline, a player photo, and the score or key fact set large enough to read in a scrolling feed.

Game coverage

Every game produces the same set of posts: a game-day graphic before puck drop, a final score after, and updated Metropolitan Division standings as the season goes on.

Final scores, game day and standings.

News & player edits

Breaking news, injuries, signings and the 2025 trade deadline each get a fast, clearly labeled template, while custom player edits mark milestones, debuts and big nights.

Context

Personal project Rangers Rinkside

Rangers Rinkside is a New York Rangers fan page. I designed its look and a full set of reusable templates so every game, signing and milestone of the season could be posted quickly and still look like one brand.

The goal

Sports news moves fast. The page needed graphics that could be turned around within minutes of a final score or a breaking report, without any post looking improvised.

A system, not one-offs

Instead of designing each post from scratch, I built templates for every recurring moment: game days, final scores, standings, breaking news, injuries, signings and trades.

Built for the feed

Posts are read in a second while scrolling, so the key fact always comes first: the score, the player or the headline, set large in high-contrast type over Rangers blue.

Room for bigger moments

Alongside the templates, custom player edits celebrate the season’s highlights, from milestones to NHL debuts, giving the feed variety without breaking the look.

The result

A consistent, recognizable feed across a full NHL season, where any post reads as Rangers Rinkside at a glance.
